FORMULATION & BULK SUPPLY

Custom Sweetener Blend Manufacturer

Custom Sweetener BlendUpdated September 20, 2026

Custom sweetener blend development and bulk supply for food manufacturers, ingredient traders and private-label brands. Bring your formula or a product brief.

Hengliyuan develops sweetener blends around your formula or application brief. Send an existing composition to discuss manufacturing, or describe the sweetness, ingredient restrictions and product format you need to develop.

Our catalog includes allulose and monk fruit, erythritol and steviol glycosides, and erythritol and monk fruit options with or without steviol glycosides or sucralose. Other compositions can be discussed as custom projects; the final ingredients and specification are agreed for your application and market.

Choose the project route before discussing ingredients

A request to manufacture an existing formula is different from developing a new blend or reformulating a product already on the market. Name the route first so the sample, documents and quotation answer the same job.

Project routeWhat to sendFirst decision
Manufacture an existing formulaComposition, ingredient grades, specification, process, pack and quantityWhether the formula and production brief are complete enough to sample
Develop a new blendApplication, current sugar or sweetener control, target change and ingredient restrictionsWhich starting composition should be tested first
Reformulate an existing productCurrent formula or control, one defined problem, process and final marketWhat stays fixed and what the next sample is meant to change
Private label or retail packFormula direction, final market, unit pack, artwork status and quantityWhether formula work or packaging work must come first

Start with the product, not a preferred ratio

If you do not have a formula yet, describe the food or drink, current control, sugar-reduction goal, sweetness target, process and serving condition. Add the label or ingredient restrictions that matter to the project. A ratio chosen before these fields are clear can solve the wrong problem.

Choose a starting composition, then test it in the real base

Starting options can include allulose with monk fruit, erythritol with stevia, erythritol with monk fruit, allulose with stevia, or erythritol with sucralose. Other compositions can be discussed as custom projects. The ingredient list is only a starting direction: sweetness timing, aftertaste, cooling, dissolution, bulk, texture and process behavior must be checked where they matter in the actual product.

Use a sample loop that answers one question at a time

Agree what the first sample should answer and keep a current product or sugar control where practical. Record the formula version, preparation method and serving condition, then give separate feedback on sweetness onset, peak, finish, aftertaste and any physical change relevant to the application. If another round is needed, identify one main change instead of asking for a generally better sample.

Match the approved sample, specification and quotation

The formula version accepted in testing should match the product specification and quotation. Confirm the full ingredient statement, grade or assay basis where relevant, carrier or bulking system, sweetness direction, pack, quantity, required documents and batch COA route. A competitor label or sample can help explain the target, but it is not a verified formula or permission to claim an identical result.

Plan bulk supply, private label and distribution as different purchases

A bulk manufacturing ingredient, a buyer-branded retail pack and Hengliyuan brand distribution need different packaging, artwork, document and quotation fields. State the commercial route at the beginning. Keep the buyer location, ship-to destination and final sales market separate, because one distributor may buy in one country for a customer or launch market elsewhere.

Send a quotation-ready first brief

Start with the project route, buyer location, ship-to destination, final sales market, food or beverage application, current control or formula, target change, ingredient restrictions, process, pack format, estimated quantity, required documents and whether samples are needed. Unknown fields can remain open, but mark them as undecided rather than filling them with assumptions.

Common questions

Can you work from our formula?

Yes. Share the composition, ingredient grades, specification and quantity to discuss manufacturing and sample requirements.

Are custom blends limited to monk fruit?

No. You can bring a different sweetener composition or a development brief. Ingredients, application and target-market requirements are reviewed for the project.

Can I exclude erythritol or stevia?

Yes. State the ingredients to exclude and the application requirements so an alternative composition can be discussed and tested.

Does custom development guarantee a specific result?

The target is agreed with the buyer and evaluated through samples. Final performance, specification and commercial terms depend on the selected formula and application.

Can you copy a competitor formula from its label or sample?

A competitor product can be used as a comparison target, but its label does not disclose a verified manufacturing ratio or complete process. Define the result you need and evaluate a Hengliyuan sample in the actual product instead of treating the competitor as an exact formula.

What should I send before requesting a custom blend sample?

Send the project route, buyer location, ship-to destination, final sales market, application, current control or formula, target change, ingredient restrictions, process, pack, quantity, document needs and the question the first sample should answer.
