BUYER NEEDS & OUR APPROACH

A Peruvian buyer’s sweetener brief: product form and packaging options

OEM & Supplier GuidePublished by Guilin Hengliyuan Biotech

How a buyer’s bulk and private-label sweetener request became a clearer comparison of product form, packing and local repacking.

A Peru-based food business wanted to compare bulk ingredients with own-brand sweetener packs. The exchange shows how clarifying product form and packaging can turn a broad quotation request into workable options.

What the buyer needed

The buyer asked about allulose and monk fruit ingredients for bulk purchase and private-label resale, initially requesting a sugar-like granulated texture. They also wanted to compare pack sizes, documents and a simple branded-packaging route before choosing a trial quantity.

How we worked through the options

We separated the ingredient question from the packaging question. We explained the powder forms being discussed in this exchange and asked whether powder would suit each route. For packaging, we compared plain packs with sticker labels against custom-printed materials, then proposed bulk supply with the buyer arranging smaller retail packs locally. Product pricing and freight were treated separately so the buyer could compare the same basis.

What the discussion clarified

The buyer confirmed that powder was acceptable and that separate bulk bags would suit the proposed trial route. Their local team would handle repacking, retail labels and import requirements. The next quotation step was to specify the quantity of each ingredient and check the matching product and batch documents.
