Fix the preparation conditions

State the full drink base, ingredient amounts, water temperature, mixing method and intended serving quantity. Record the control and each candidate under the same preparation procedure. If the drink is prepared warm and then cooled, include that sequence rather than treating it as the same test as direct cold preparation.

Observe the prepared drink

At agreed times, record visible particles, clarity and any residue in the container. Note the mixing already applied before considering a change to preparation. If the drink contains other powders, use appropriate controls to investigate what the observation belongs to. Appearance alone cannot establish the identity of a residue.

Score the drinking experience separately

Compare sweetness, cooling sensation, aftertaste and overall preference at the intended serving condition. Keep the serving and tasting procedure consistent. Ask which observed result would change the product decision rather than assuming that more or less cooling is always preferable for the customer.

Repeat checks after planned holding
