Estimate sweetener blend cost before discussing a quotation or sample. Choose bulk and high-intensity sweeteners, add zero-factor carriers, or use Write your own ingredient for a customer-named row. Only the original six presets have Hengliyuan reference prices; new presets and custom rows require your price. All shares count toward 100%, including carriers. Custom factors can be entered or marked No sweetness contribution. The form allows up to 15 rows and starts with blank percentages for your own formula.
Enter the target finished batch weight in kilograms, your expected loss rate and a processing method. The loss rate starts at the confirmed Hengliyuan reference of 1%; adjust it if your process differs. Ingredient percentages must add up to 100%; the calculator does not silently rebalance them. Enter 0% for an ingredient you are keeping in the worksheet but not using, or remove that row. Once the entries are complete, the result shows each ingredient's required mass, its loss-adjusted contribution to the blend cost per finished kilogram, and the estimated cost for the entire finished batch. Changing the batch size scales the required masses and total cost while the bulk blend cost per kilogram stays the same. Carton cost per kilogram varies when the final carton is partly filled.
The starting prices are Hengliyuan EXW references in CNY per kilogram, last confirmed 24 Oct 2026 and subject to confirmation. You can replace them with your own comparable quotations. Enter prices in CNY/kg. USD equivalents use the displayed CNY-per-USD rate. The public reference is loaded from Frankfurter with its data date; you can edit the rate. USD comparisons are indicative, not confirmed quotations. Extract prices already include extraction, so no additional extraction charge is added. Fluid-bed granulation and high-speed mixing both add CNY 5 per finished kilogram after adjusting ingredient cost for loss. Bulk cartons cost CNY 5.50 each with a 25 kg capacity. The carton count is rounded up, including a partly filled final carton. Retail filling and retail packaging are charged separately. Freight, insurance, import duties and other charges are excluded. Confirm the scope of a supplier quotation before comparing the result with a delivered or finished-product price.
A lower cost per kilogram does not by itself establish a lower cost in your finished food or drink. Compare blends at an accepted dose in the same product and record the sensory and processing results alongside the quotation. Ingredient grade, application conditions and the agreed specification still matter. This calculation does not approve a recipe or confirm market access. The sweetness module weights editable published factors by ingredient mass. For RA98 and RM95, enter one factor within the displayed range before calculating. These are references, not measured batch performance. Mixing effects and application conditions require sensory testing. You can use the cost calculation without an account or providing contact details. The calculator does not upload your entries.
WORKED EXAMPLE
Arithmetic example only, not a recommended formulation or a confirmed quotation. Assume 99% erythritol at CNY 11/kg, 1% Mogroside V 25% at CNY 1,030/kg, 1% proportional loss and CNY 5/kg blending.
| Finished batch | Blend subtotal | 25 kg cartons | Total with cartons |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 kg | CNY 2,640.40 | 4 × 5.50 = CNY 22.00 | CNY 2,662.40 |
| 101 kg | CNY 2,666.81 | 5 × 5.50 = CNY 27.50 | CNY 2,694.31 |
Blend cost before cartons: [(0.99 × 11 + 0.01 × 1,030) ÷ 0.99] + 5 = approximately CNY 26.40404 per finished kg. The final carton is charged as a whole carton. Values are calculated before rounding; totals are then shown to two decimal places. Retail filling, retail packaging, delivery and taxes are excluded. No taste or application performance is implied.
THE FORMULAS
Percentages are by mass and must total 100%.
A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS
Yes. The exchange rate means 1 USD equals the entered amount in CNY. The calculator loads a public reference from Frankfurter and shows its data date. You can enter your own positive rate; all USD equivalents then use your rate, while CNY costs stay unchanged. Use the reference button or Reset to restore the public rate. If the provider is unavailable, enter your own rate or continue calculating in CNY. USD equivalents are indicative and subject to confirmation.
Enter your expected percentage loss, from 0% to less than 100%. The default is the confirmed Hengliyuan reference of 1%, and you can change it for your own process. The batch size is the finished output target; required ingredient inputs increase to cover the entered loss. This estimate assumes the same proportional loss across ingredients.
Multiply each ingredient's mass fraction by its CNY/kg price and add the contributions. Divide that sum by (1 minus the loss rate as a fraction), then add CNY 5/kg blending. Multiply by the target finished batch weight for the bulk blend subtotal. Add CNY 5.50 times the carton count, rounded up from finished batch kg divided by 25, for the total including bulk cartons. The blending fee and cartons are outside the loss adjustment.
Yes. They describe the mass of the complete blend. The calculator waits until the total is 100% and all required values are valid. It does not adjust your formula automatically. Remove unused rows or enter 0%.
No. Only the original six presets have Hengliyuan EXW reference prices in CNY/kg, last confirmed 24 Oct 2026 and subject to confirmation. New presets and customer-written rows have blank prices for you to enter. Customer-entered prices and factors are not Hengliyuan references.
It includes loss-adjusted ingredient cost and CNY 5/kg for either fluid-bed granulation or high-speed mixing. Extract prices already include extraction, which is not charged again. It also includes 25 kg bulk cartons at CNY 5.50 each, with the count rounded up. Retail filling and retail packaging are charged separately and are not included in this estimate. Shipping, taxes and other applicable charges are also excluded.
Yes. The calculator adds each ingredient mass fraction multiplied by its relative sweetness factor, with sucrose set to 1. For RA98 and RM95, select one factor within the displayed published range; those inputs start blank. The tool returns one estimated relative sweetness and multiplies it by finished batch kg for the estimated sucrose equivalent. Published sweetener factors are editable. Carrier factors are locked at 0 for this estimate; a customer-written row can use your own factor or No sweetness contribution. Custom values are labelled Customer-entered, not published references. The references describe other suppliers or published ingredient data, not measured Hengliyuan batch performance. The model does not account for synergy or concentration effects; validate sweetness in your actual food or drink.
No. Compare the accepted dose in the same finished product, together with taste and processing performance. A cost-per-kilogram comparison alone cannot establish equivalent sweetness or application suitability. Sucralose is synthetic; a blend containing it is not all-natural. Check approval, use levels and labelling for your market and food category. This calculator does not approve a recipe or confirm market access.
